200 New Killer Features on iOS 5
200 New killer features on iOS 5 – Yes, you can run IOS 5 on the iPhone 4 and, if you’re a glutton for punishment, the iPhone 3GS, but it’s the new, faster iPhone 4S that shows its talents off to best effect. The OS comes with around 200 new features – far too many to go into here. Here are our favorite quirky ones, plus four killer features below.
- Use the microphone tool to dictate iMessages, emails and notes.
- Busy man? You can now display a list of up to 1.000 emails in Mail.
- The revolving notifications tab alerts you to incoming texts and emails.
- There’s now wireless iTunes syncing. One massive step forward.
- Taking a pic in a hurry? You can open the camera from the lock screen with a double-tap of the home button.
- The Reader button turns miserable-looking web pages into scrollable text with images. It’s good, but not a nail in the coffin for Instapaper just yet.
