How to Install Mac OS X Lion From the Mac App Store – This tutorial will guide you to Install the new Macintosh operating system “Mac OS X Lion 10.7″. Lets begin!
First, make sure all your application are closed. Then Click the Mac App Store icon from your dock. Find and select the OS X Lion. Buy the App then download it to your Computer. You will see the Lion icon jumping to your dock. A progress bar will appear under the icon to show you the download and install progress. The file size is about 3.74GB, so even over a broadband internet connection the download will take some time.
Once the download has completed, a Mac OS X Lion installation window will appear. Click the “Continue” button to begin. Read trough the software Licence and Agreement then click the “Agree” button if you accept them. Click the “Agree” button again if it ask you to confirm your selection.
Apple will attempt to detect your primary drive for Lion Installation. If you would like to select the different drive, click the “Show All Disk” button and select your drive to install the OS X Lion. And then click the “Install” button to begin the installation. A pop-up will appear asking you to login as an administrator, enter your administrator username and password then click the “OK” button. After a few minutes of preparation, your computer will automatically reboot and begin installing Mac OS X Lion.
This progress will take about 30 minutes. You’ll then be notified that the Mac OS X Lion installation has succeeded and your computer will automatically reboot again. As soon as your computer has finished restarting, you’ll be up and running on the new Mac OS x Lion. Done!
