The HP Pavilion elite HPE-210f is designed to be a multimedia system for those who need more power than a $500 system can provide. This system, sold at Staples, has expandability to accommodate featuref upgrades, 1 terabyte of storage for digital-video mavens, and a quad-core processor for the multimedia enthusiast. It fills all the check-boxes, except it lacks 5-GHz Wi-Fi support and includes a mess of bloatware, both of which keep it from earning a higher rating.
The HPE-210f is a mirror reflection of other current HP Pavilion Elite PCs- a mid-tower chassis with glossy black plastic on the front panel, black metal sides,and accents like the horizontal metal “vent”. Doors hide the optical Drives and two front-mounted USB ports (with more port in back). The HPE-210f has quite a bit of expansion space inside its chassis. you can drop in two extra hard drives, one more optical drive, and two PCIe x1 cards. And you get and 208.11n Wii-Fii adapter, so you don’t need to be tied to Ethernet.
In testing, the HPE-210f completed our Windows Media Encoder test i a quick 37 seconds abd our Photoshop CS4 test in 1 minutes 47 seconds. the system can’t play Crysis, and World in Conflict is jerky, running at a slow 21fps. though the HPE-210f is a decent multimedia system for working on your family’s photo, video, and music project. HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f is cheaper, more powerful, and better equipped.
