Unlike comparably priced speakers that use a low-cost “box style” cabinet, Pioneer’s bookshelf, floor standing, and center speaker all have a curved cabinet design. This fabrication method creates a rigid speaker body that won’t impair sound waves and allows the speaker to deliver precise audio clarity that will take your movies, video games, and sporting events to a new level of entertainment. Adding to the modern look of the curved cabinet design, each speaker also has individual driver metal grills to protect its internal components.
Internally, the speakers contain a high-quality crossover made from a minimum of six components (similar speakers only use two). The result is a holistic sound that’s delivered from your NV receiver to each speaker.

Each component from Pioneer’s speaker series can be purchased individually or combined to create a complete surround-sound home-theater audio setup. There are four speakers in the lineup-the SP-BS21-LR bookshelf speaker pair ($89), SP-F551-LR floor standing speaker pair ($199), SP-C21 center speaker ($79), and SW-8 subwoofer($149). While the center speakers its above or below your HDTV and the subwoofer can be placed wherever it’s most convenient, you can choose between the bookshelf or floor standing speaker pairs to create an optimal audio layout for your space.
