The IdeaCentre A310 from Lenovo is the world’s slimmest all-in-one PC. At just 18.5mm thick and with all the connections housed in the curved and svelte base, it may float like a butterfly, but it stings like a bee with a choice of Intel® Core™ i3 or Core™ i5 processors, with Turbo Boosttech for when you need more power.
Running Windows 7, the A310 is a true media hub. Its 21.5-inch, full-HD widescreen is great for everything from video and games to TV, via the built-in Freeview tuner with remote control. There’s also HDMI in and out for hooking up the rest of your HD equipment. Integrated stereo speakers give out clear, crisp audio.
Available in a range of reasonably priced configurations, the top of the range IdeaCentre A310 boasts 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard drive and a Turbo Boosted Intel® Core™ i5 450M processor with integrated graphics. Naturally, you get high-speed N Wi-Fi, gigabit ethernet and plenty of other connectivity options, with four USBs and a seven-in-one card reader, in addition to the HDMI.
For online calls and chat via Skype, MSN and other messaging apps there’s a built in wehcam with YouCam facetracking software. You also get a wireless mouse and keyboard for your money.
Lenovo might be a newish name to you but it’s actually the world’s fourth largest PC manufacturer, with a ten per cent market share. One look at the IdeaCentre A310, followed by a second look at its price tag, should tell you why…
