Sony Cyber-shot WX5 and TX9 Digital Cameras
Sony’s 12.2Mp Cyber-shot WX5 and TK9 digital cameras are notable for their 3D Sweep Panorama feature. When you press the shutter release, the Exxmor R Cmos sensor captures up to 100 images as the camera sweeps from side to side. These images are automatically combined to create a 3D image, viewable through a pair of stereoscopic glasses.
To see the effect properly the photo should be viewed on a 3D TV via HDMI. Also of note is the Sweep Multi Angle function, which shoots a high-speed burst of 15 frames to create a 3D-style image that can be viewed from different angles by simply tilting the camera. The WX5 is a 2.8in-screened device that can used underwater; the T K9 has a 3.5in LCD screen. Both models can capture full-HD video, have an internal memory of 32MB and come in a range of colours, including gold and silver.
Price £280 (WX5) and £350 (TX9)
