The name is really long for this small, cute looking phone. The Xperia X10 Mini Pro is the third member in Sony Ericsson’s Android family and looks like a twin to the X10 Mini. But where the ‘Mini’ was just a compact version of the X10 minus the keypad, the ‘Mini Pro’ comes with a physical QWERTY keypad. The keypad, of course, adds to the weight but is a necessary addition as it makes texting and typing long emails easier.

The controls on the side edges have been shuffled as well and now the lock/power key and the headphone jack appear on the top. The user interface comprises four static icons sitting one apiece in each corner along with the shortcut to the widget in the middle. The main menu is divided into multiple screens. Nine icons sit smartly on ore screen and another can be accessed by swiping the finger across the display. This Xperia Mini Pro runs on the Android v1.6 operating system. Although, the company claims it will update the OS by the end of this year we still wonder why SE hasn’t used v2.1. Accompanying the set of Google services is Facebook and Timescape for staying socially connected. NeuReader, WisePilot and Peggi are a few of the pre-installed apps.
