Smaller than netbook but bigger than a tablet, this is the first Andriod Smartbook to be announcement for the UK and also a new sub-genre of gadget. Thinner and lighter than a laptop, it has a ten-inch screen and a battery that should last for 
days. Exactly how many hours that means is yet to be confirmed, as is the price, but rest assured the AC100 won’t cost any more than a netbook.

- Software - The AC100 runs Android 2.1, with free upgrade to 2.2 planned for shortly after the lunch.It wears Toshiba’s own interface over the top.

- Online – It’s Wi-Fi and 3G-ready for always-on connectivity. The flash only 8GB, so it’s clearly built for cloud computing.
