Xbox 360 Kinect: Connecting to The Kinect
Kinect made its appearance in June this year at E3 2010, the gaming world’s most popular expo. The concept and the experience were so interesting that you couldn’t help but fall for the device. And let us tell those gamers who hate to leave their couches—it’s time to jump, twist, turn, run, bend, exert, run up a sweat. Having spent a full day with the Kinect—and having lost a huge number of calories—we see no reason not to love it. It is a wonderful gaming accessory that has something to offer to everyone—from the 4-year-old tot to the 80-your-old grandma.
How Does It Work?
The front horizontal her sits on a motorized bay. It features three cameras, two RGB and one for depth. These mark 48 points on the body joints of the person in the frame and pick up signals from them. A testing game is the Kinect Sports where you can sprint solo or against an opponent. This game gives you a major workout. The aim is simple, the higher you can take your knees the foster your onscreen avatar runs. Then there is Kinect Joy Ride. This game puts you in the driver seat of a sports car. To turn the car you have to tilt your body left or right, thrust your body out violently and the car gets a turbo burst. You have to perform stunts (back flips, etc) which wins you more nitro to be used. Many more are being developed.

Apart from playing games on filed, users an o so video-chat with online friends on Xbox Live. Which also means that you can link up and ploy gesture games together. The Kinect is also programmed to take pictures —funny ones of people in all sorts of poses—while garners jump up and down.
